* :man_student: I studied Applied Mathematics at the [Technical University of Lodz](https://p.lodz.pl/en).

* :man_scientist: I obtained a PhD in Bioinformatics under the supervision of Professor [Philippe Lemey](https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=HwjuEaUAAAAJ) at the laboratory of [Evolutionary and Computational Virology](https://rega.kuleuven.be/cev/ecv/).

* :man_technologist: I'm an independent software engineer from Lodz, Poland.

### What am I up to now (aka clickbait)

* :link: I am fascinated by the society-changing potential of the distributed ledger technologies.

* :waffle: Together with [jpmonettas](https://github.com/jpmonettas) we maintain [Spread](https://github.com/fbielejec/spread), software that visualizes how pathogens and viruses (yes, the ones like COVID-19) spread in time and space.

* :crab: I have have a keen interest in functional programming, especially using **()** Clojure and Rust.

* :memo: I often [write](https://www.blog.nodrama.io/) about different computing topics.

* :climbing_man: I like all things outdoor - climbing :climbing:, MTB :mountain_biking_man:, skiing :skier:.
