### Introduction
openTIDAL is a TIDAL API client library written in ANSI C. It's lightweight, fast and easy to use.After reverse-engineering the TIDAL API and documenting all endpoints, I had the idea to write a portable C library. The goal was to integrate the OAuth2 Device-Flow, auto-refreshing sessions and all endpoints.
A python module using openTIDAL is also available and easy to install [pyopenTIDAL](https://github.com/Fokka-Engineering/pyopenTIDAL).
##### What is implemented?
* OAuth Log-In/Logout and Automatic Session Renewal
* Demo Session
* Playlist Creation, Deletion and Manipulation
* Mixes (also known as Radio)
* Favourites Management
* Recently Played, Your History, Because You Listened To {album} and other user-based content recommendations
* Pagination (Limit & Offset)
* Order & Sort Filters
* Content HTTP Streams (Audio & Video)
* Easy and Extensive Error Handling### Wiki
[HTML Documentation](https://mirror.nuntius.dev/docs/libopenTIDAL/)### Thread Safety
openTIDAL is thread safe.
You need to create a http-handle for a new thread.
Session refresh checks and requests are only available on the main thread.### Example
Simple request without user authorisation.
```c
struct OTSessionContainer *session = NULL;
struct OTContentContainer *content = NULL;/* This is an old (Lossless Only) clientPair provided for the example. */
const char *clientId = "OmDtrzFgyVVL6uW56OnFA2COiabqm";
const char *clientSecret = "zxen1r3pO0hgtOC7j6twMo9UAqngGrmRiWpV7QC1zJ8=";/* Create a new libopenTIDAL session. */
session = OTSessionInit ();
if (!session)
return -1;/* Specify the clientId and clientSecret. */
if (!(OTSessionClientPair (session, clientId, clientSecret) == 0))
return -1;const int limit = 2;
const int offset = 0;
const char *id = "13479529";/* Request the artefacts in an album with the following parameters:
* (session, prefix, suffix, id, limit, offset, threadHandle) */
content = OTServiceGetStandard (session, "albums", "items", id, limit, offset, NULL);
if (content)
{
if (content->status == SUCCESS)
{
struct OTJsonContainer *items = NULL;
struct OTJsonContainer *item = NULL;/* You might want to check for NaN. */
double totalNumberOfItems
= OTJsonGetObjectItemNumberValue (content->tree, "totalNumberOfItems");
printf ("TotalNumberOfItems: %d\n", (int)totalNumberOfItems);items = OTJsonGetObjectItem (content->tree, "items");
OTJsonArrayForEach (item, items)
{
struct OTJsonContainer *innerItem = NULL;
innerItem = OTJsonGetObjectItem (item, "item");char *title = OTJsonGetObjectItemStringValue (innerItem, "title");
if (title)
printf ("Title: %s\n", title);/* The artifact id in the JSON is a number but we need an ASCII string. */
char *id = OTJsonGetObjectItemStringValue (innerItem, "id");
if (id)
printf ("Id: %s\n", id);
}
}
}OTDeallocContainer (content, CONTENT_CONTAINER);
OTSessionCleanup (session);
```

```### Building
Currently the compilation has only been tested on macOS and GNU/Linux. Keep in mind that the Makefile is currently macOS/LINUX/UNIX only. It generates a dylib.Use make to build the shared library (.so on GNU/Linux, .dylib on macOS).\
The created library will be copied to the working directory.```
$ mkdir build && cd build
```
```
$ cmake .. && make install
```
Cleanup the working directory:
```
$ make clean
```
##### Dependencies
openTIDAL uses libcURL for HTTP Requests. In modern systems curl is preinstalled (macOS, Windows 10 (1803 or later) and most Linux distributions).You'll need the development package on some Linux distributions. The libcurl header files are bundled with the xcode command line tools on macOS.
On Debian & other APT-based Distros:
```
$ apt install libcurl-dev
```On CentOS:
```
$ dnf install libcurl-devel
