# 📖 ShelfWise

### Key Features

- **User Authentication:** Shelfwise offers a secure login and signup system, allowing users to create personalized accounts and access the application's full range of features.

- **Book Catalog:** Users can browse a comprehensive list of available books, search for specific titles, and access detailed book information, including author, genre, and publication details.

- **Borrowing Books:** Through an intuitive interface, users can borrow books from the catalog. They are required to set a return date, ensuring fair access to books for other users.

- **My Books Section:** Once borrowed, books are added to the user's "My Books" section, providing easy tracking of borrowed items and their respective return dates.

- **Reservations:** Users can reserve books that have already been borrowed, receiving notifications when the books become available for pickup after returning.

- **Fairness Policies:** To promote equitable access, users can borrow a maximum of three books at a time, and reservations are limited to three books.

- **Real-Time Database Search:** The application features a real-time search function that allows users to find books instantly as they type in the search bar.

- **Book Categorization:** Books are categorized by genre and other criteria, making it convenient for users to explore and discover new titles.

- **User Account Management:** Users have the flexibility to update or delete their accounts, offering full control over their profile.

- **Admin CRUD Operations (in progress):** The application is currently undergoing further development to include comprehensive administrative features for book and user management.

- Shelfwise is an ongoing project, with core functionalities completed and fully operational. The admin CRUD operations are currently under development and will further enhance the application's capabilities.
