# Why is Coronavirus all about Mathematics?

On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organization officiallly [declared](https://twitter.com/WHO/status/1237777021742338049?s=20) the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19) a [pandemic](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandemic). But, fear not, this is not yet another opinionated response on the failing of society and the end of times. This is all about Mathematics!
