This Excel-based Housing Visual Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of average house prices across various boroughs in London from 1996 to 2013. The dashboard is designed to offer insights into housing market trends and price variations across different areas of London over time.
## Data Source
The data used in this dashboard is sourced from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and the Land Registry. It covers annual and quarterly median and mean house prices, as well as upper and lower quartile prices for London boroughs.
## Features
- **Time Series Analysis**: The dashboard allows users to track house price changes from 1996 to 2013, providing a clear view of market trends over this period
- **Borough Comparison**: Users can compare house prices across different London boroughs, enabling easy identification of price disparities and local market conditions
- **Price Metrics**: The dashboard includes various price metrics such as median, mean, upper quartile, and lower quartile prices, offering a comprehensive view of the market
- **Data Visualization**: The Excel file likely includes charts and graphs to visually represent the data, making it easier to spot trends and patterns.
## Data Notes
- The dataset excludes sales at less than market price (e.g., Right To Buy), sales below £1,000, and sales above £20 million
- The median property price is determined by ranking all property prices in ascending order, with 50% of prices below and 50% above the median
- Figures for the latest quarter are provisional, and figures for all other quarters have been revised.
- Data is smoothed and seasonally adjusted in the Indices and Average Prices tabs## Usage
To use the dashboard:
1. Open the Excel file.
2. Navigate through the different tabs to view various aspects of the housing market data.
3. Use filters or dropdown menus (if available) to select specific boroughs or periods of interest.
4. Interact with the charts and tables to gain insights into London's housing market trends.## Data Update Frequency
