# Rowan

Rowan is a project/package manager for Smalltalk that supports FileTree and Tonel repositories.

### Rowan and JadeiteForPharo are still under active development

If you are interested in taking Rowan and JadeiteForPharo for a spin, please do, however, we are not prepared to recommend that Rowan be used in production. See the [JadeiteForPharo README](https://github.com/GemTalk/JadeiteForPharo/tree/JfpAlpha372?tab=readme-ov-file#disclaimer-jadeite-for-pharo-is-still-in-active-development) for getting started instructions.

If you are new to GemStone, then you might consider taking a look at [GsDevKit_stones](https://github.com/GsDevKit/GsDevKit_stones). There are [several example scripts](https://github.com/GsDevKit/GsDevKit_stones/tree/v2.1/tests) that you can use for inspiration.
