# Gephi design system
You will find information here about the graphic design of the Gephi project.
# Font
The font of the Gephi logo is [Monteserrat Alternates](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Montserrat+Alternates); which consists of alternate versions of the classic [Montserrat](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Montserrat) font.
Rationale: the Montserrat is clean, crisp, and simple, but the alternates add a little bit of personality notably to Gephi's "G".
**Don't use the alternates for plain text.** It is a good idea to use Montserrat in Gephi-related documents, but Montserra Alternates is too weird and lacks readibility. It might be used as a sporadic touch though.
# Logo versions
Each logo is available in 3 file formats:
* PNG
* SVG
* AI (Adobe Illustrator)
Each logo is available in 3 layouts:
* No text
* Vertical
* Horizontal
Each logo is available in 5 color schemes:
* Default (with color aimed to be over a white or light background)
* Inverted (with color aimed to be over a black or dark background)
* Color (with color aimed to be over the preferred color background; e.g. blue for Gephi Lite)
* Black (no color; aimed to be over a white background)
* White (no color; aimed to be over a black background)
