# Skills-Based Volunteering Program
## About
This is the public repo for GitHub's Skills-Based Volunteer program that is run under Social Impact's Tech for Social Good portfolio, and is in partnership with various social sector organizations. Organizations are welcome to fork this repo.
### Objective
Skills-Based Volunteering Programs aim to match skilled employees with partner social sector organizations to help solve their strategic and technical problems through short term engagements.

\*Note that every employee who wishes to volunteer must complete the general tech for social good webinar and any webinars related to their partner org's topics.\*
_Please do not reach out to partner orgs directly! This cuts down on confusion and streamlines communication_
