# Dave
A monospace programming font built for unambiguous legibility above all else

Initially created in fontstruct https://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/1549797/dave-11
Based on "Computer Says No" by Christian Munk ( `https://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/954016/computer_says_no_1` )
Further tweaks made using FontForge and TTF auto hint ( https://freetype.org/ttfautohint/ )
Hinter settings are default, except for "Stem Width and Positioning Mode", which are all set to "quantised"
Bold is created by expanding regular by 30 em units in CJK mode.
Italic is created by skewing regular by -9 degrees.
## TODO
- [ ] Should clean up warnings given by Font Bakery ( https://simoncozens.github.io/fontbakery-web/ ), especially for the fixed-width settings
- [ ] Rebuild 'italic' so that only letters & numbers are slanted (not arrows or box-drawing elements)
