BP Custom Add-on is an example of BuddyPress Add-on to help third party BuddyPress Add-on/plugin developers understand how they can extend BuddyPress 12.0.0 & up. As BuddyPress 12.0.0 introduced the BP Rewrites API: a major change about the way the URL of the community area of your WordPress site are buily & routed, third party BuddyPress Add-on/plugin developers should adapt their work to benefit from an improved routing API which fully complies with WordPress Standards and allows URL slugs customization as well as plain links support.
