# ChatterboxTranslatorBot
We built this ChatterboxTranslator bot ([Official Channel](https://www.twitch.tv/chattranslator)). A chat bot for realtime translations in Twitch chat!
The bot detects and translates chat messages of other languages into the target language set by the streamer in real-time.

## Commands ##
(Commands are only permitted to the Streamer and Moderators)
* `!join [lang]` - Used only from twitch.tv/ChatTranslator by the streamer to have the bot join the channel
* `!langhelp` - Prints out available commands for this Bot
* `!lang [code]` - Sets the target language for the channel using a language code (e.g. en for English)
* `!langleave` - Makes the Bot leave the channel
* `!langlist` - Prints a list of available languages for Translation
* `!langcolor` - Toggles the translated text color between normal chat and /me action.
* `!langcensor` - Toggles naughty word censorship.
## Instructions ##
1. Install NodeJS - [https://nodejs.org/en/](https://nodejs.org/en/)
2. Open the directory in a Command Prompt/Terminal
3. Install Dependencies: `npm install`
4. Get a Twitch Chat OAuth Password Token - [here](http://twitchapps.com/tmi/)
5. Get a Yandex key from - [here](https://translate.yandex.com/developers/keys)
6. Edit the file named `.env` that looks like this:
```env
TWITCHUSER=[YOUR-USERNAME-HERE]
OAUTH=[YOUR-OAUTH-PASS HERE]
YANDEX_KEY=[Yandex Key Here]
```
7. Run bot: `npm start` or `npm dev`
8. Browse to your bot's chat
9. Use the command `!join`
