# RedGifs-AutoHD (Formerly Gfycat-AutoHD, but that site has been shut down)

Automatically changes ~~GfyCat~~/RedGifs videos to HD mode, improves page layout to use width more and strips adverts.

Also includes a download button for content that gives organizeable file-names, for example:


  `someUser_2024-02-24_Did something fun today - CheeseCapyBara.mp4`


Or if it's a multi-element post:


  `someUser_2024-02-24_Did something fun today - CheeseCapyBara_1_RiverCrashingBrunch.mp4`


  where "1" is what position in the list that item was.


Should work on RedGifs embeds on other websites as well, including Reddit.

# Installation

To install RedGifs AutoHD you need a User Script manager installed in your browser. There are plenty of options such as [Tamper Monkey](https://www.tampermonkey.net/) or [Violent Monkey](https://github.com/violentmonkey/violentmonkey). Install these to the browser of your choice.

Then visit [Greasyfork Auto-updating install](https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/388733-gfycat-autohd) or click [this link](https://github.com/Invertex/RedGifs-AutoHD/raw/master/RedGifs%20AutoHD.user.js) to install the user-script from this repo directly.

Your User-Script manager should take you to an install page.
