README
This repository contains the contents of my .vim directory.
My .vimrc looks like this:
" put platform-specific settings here
" and then source the common configuration file
source ~/.vim/vimrcAll addons go in the bundle directory and are managed by
pathogen. When possible I install them as git submodules:git submodule add http://github.com/msanders/snipmate.vim.git bundle/snipmate
git submodule add http://github.com/scrooloose/nerdtree.git bundle/nerdtree
git submodule add http://github.com/clones/vim-fuzzyfinder.git bundle/fuzzyfinder
git submodule add git://github.com/tpope/vim-fugitive.git bundle/fugitiveAfter a fresh clone of the repository, you need to do this to get
the submodules:git submodule init
git submodule updateIf after 'call pathogen#helptags()' you get a warning about a dirty
submodule, add 'tags' to bundle/REPO/.git/info/exclude, where REPO
is the repository that is giving the warning.
