# AncientXinu

## Background
- This repository contains early historical releases of the **Xinu** and **Xinu-68K** software, recovered from 9-track tapes.
[Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xinu#History) says:
> Xinu first ran on the LSI-11 platform. _A Motorola 68000 port was done by Derrick Burns in **1984**._ ... A second Motorola 68000 (Sun-3) port [was released] circa **1988** by Shawn Ostermann and Steve Chapin ...
