# thunderNote
Staying on top of news with *thunderNote* RSS feed client browser add-on.

## Key features
* Works completely in the sidebar, which is fancy.
* Add RSS feeds with custom periodically checks for new content
* Display complete unfiltered feeds in ***view feeds***
* Input keywords or buzzwords to match and display news for.
* Display images via default or disable pictures alltogether
* Add keywords using ***Add new keyword*** from the context menu once text or a link is selected.
* Shows notifications, which can be disabled
* Shortcut `Arrow left/right` to navigate forwards and backwards in news feeds when **Single reader mode** is active
* Allow export and import of settings and feed data
## Installation and testing
**Firefox addon** page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/thundernote
For testing in **Firefox**: Open **"about:debugging"**, select **"Load temporary addon"** and then select ***manifest.json*** from ***thunderNote***.
## Usage
1. Open the Thundernote by clicking on the thunderbold icon in your addon bar
2. `Add keywords` of interesting topics to look out for, for example *EU* *Sport* or *Europa* either by entering or using the context menu on a text selection
3. `Add a feed url`, for example: `http://www.tagesschau.de/xml/rss2` for the German **Tagesschau RSS feed** with a check of 1 to 15 minutes.
4. Select `view feeds` to view the whole feed *or* Select `view topics` after the feed got downloaded to look out a selection by keywords
5. Enjoy reading news.
