# README
This is a static CMS written in nextjs and netlify-cms, using netlify's git-gateway.
The goals of this project are:
1. To create a zero-fee CMS template
2. To be based off of completely opensource solutions, and no vendor lock-in
3. TO use netlify's git-gateway and media upload functionality for easy media uploadsIn future we are to create our own media upload library using git-gateway and nextjs's
serverless functions# Quickstart
1. Deploy to netlify[![Deploy to Netlify](https://www.netlify.com/img/deploy/button.svg)](https://app.netlify.com/start/deploy?repository=https://github.com/kaziridwan/nextlifty-netlify-starter)
2. Configure netlify-cms config
goto `public/admin/config.yml`
```
backend:
name: git-gateway
repo: OWNER/YOUR_GITHUB_REPO
base_url: https://example.com/```
3. Setup netlify identity and enable git-gateway
4. Add github as [OAuth Provider](https://github.com/settings/developers)[Troubleshoot nextjs on netlify here](https://www.netlify.com/blog/2020/11/30/how-to-deploy-next.js-sites-to-netlify/) and authentication [here](https://www.netlifycms.org/docs/add-to-your-site/#authentication)
