# nerdcop
##### the 1989, hard-hitting cyborg, renegade cop thriller that got cancelled after a stunning five-episode run. [www.nerdcop.com](www.nerdcop.com)
#####_wait, what is this?_
This is a **colllaborative**, **multimedia** storytelling project.
The following skeleton details are static:
- The number of episodes
- The dominating themes of the episodes
- Several jungian archetypes/characters
- The genre (cop drama/1980s sci-fi)but the everything else may be changed via pull-requests and talking with the project owners.
It may remain a script with multiple enactions, or be a video game, or be an animation, or be converted to init processes to be experienced at server boot -- it is whatever evolves from community interaction.
##### is he a cop for nerds or is he a cop that is a nerd?
_definitely_.

> Hero in Natural Environment/Call to Action

> Hero's Growth/Trials
#### 0x03 : "off-by-one"
> Hero's Death/Ultimate Crisis
#### 0x04 : "kill -9"
> Hero's Transformation/Discarding of Self/Refusal to Return
#### Cancelled by studio
## Character list

- Karate.
- Robotic mode ('turbo mode'?)Struggles / Defects / Restrictions:
- Self-hatred. NerdCop wants to police nerds, yet, he's part robot and that's pretty nerdy (robots are good at math).
- When in 'turbo mode', he is susceptible to non-incrementing loops, division by zero, lexical parsing of grammatically incorrect sentences#### TBD
Antagonist.
Runs software company or robotics firm. Is highly intelligent and muscular.
#### Henchmen / Henchwomen
Have certificates in programming languages _and_ karate.
## Tone/feel
- Serious
- Campy
- Dramatic
- Brutal## Influences/Atmosphere/Look-book
- "Neo Tokyo" exaggerated urban build-up
- 1980s "cocaine" Miami lighting, beach-atmosphere, ferarris and lamborghinis, submachine gun toting henchmen/henchwomen, rollerskates, dance clubs
- 1980s fonts, laser graphics, computers with CRTs and floppy disks
