# CommitEdit
A native macOS commit message editor
## Installation
Download the latest release from [Releases](https://github.com/kra-mo/CommitEdit/releases/latest) and move it into your Applications folder.
The app is not signed as I have not been able to pay the $99 fee for a developer license. As such, you will need to go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Security and open the app from there.
If you would like to be able to install/update the app more conveniently, such as from the Mac App Store or Homebrew, please consider donating!
## Donations
CommitEdit is a free app that I develop in my free time. If you want to support me or want the app available in the App Store, please consider donating! I accept donations through [GitHub Sponsors](https://github.com/sponsors/kra-mo) and [Liberapay](https://liberapay.com/kramo).
Thank you for your generosity! 💙
## Acknowledgements
The pen in the app icon was based on that of [CodeEdit](https://github.com/CodeEditApp/CodeEdit), licensed under MIT.
