# Limitium' dactyl manuform
Default is great, however I didn't find a way to use it without hand rests.
This build solves the problem of missing hand rests.

## Body
Different body types and modifications were tried, but ended up with a carbonfet fork of Dactyl manuform with a little thumb cluster tweaking https://github.com/limitium/dactyl-manuform
### Handrest
Integrated plate is made from a dactyl manuform back plate and a hand rest model
### Promicro holder
The last type-c Promicro controller is slightly longer, so a new version of the holder is required.
New version is a glue-less click-in holder for TRRS jack and type-c Promicro
## Keycaps
Dactyl manufrom was designed for a SA like profile for additional curvature. Any profile from the SA family can be taken.
### ASA profile
SA profile is too tall for my taste, so switched to ASA.
#### Carbon Retro Keycap Set from Akko
It makes no sense to buy the whole set if a resin printer is available.
#### Custom KeyV2
The missing keycaps are printed on a resin printer and modeled via https://github.com/rsheldiii/KeyV2 project, with https://www.ffonts.net/Gorton-Digital-Regular.font font for chars and https://github.com/dakotafelder/open-gorton font for specials keys.
For the thumb cluster g20 low profile was used.
## Wiring
Default QMK split wiring https://docs.qmk.fm/#/feature_split_keyboard with diods and naked wires. The rows and columns are connected to a Promicro controller with XH2.54 connectors

Handedness set by EEPROM
Layout is really basic one and far from an ideal. It's still under construction.
