# Disable Gutenberg Dashboard

Disable the 'try Gutenberg' dashboard widget from showing in WordPress 4.9.8.

## Description

The plugin will stop the 'try Gutenberg' dashboard widget from showing on sites running WordPress 4.9.8. Related ticket on [Core](https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/41316), [Changeset](https://core.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/42869).

## Installation

### Automated Installation

With WordPress 2.7 or above, you can simply go to Plugins > Add New in the WordPress Admin. Next, search for "Disable Gutenberg Dashboard" and click Install Now. 

### Manual Installation

1. Upload the plugin file disable-gutenberg-dashboard.zip to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.

2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
