### Convert Guests to Customers Automatically

As a store owner, you definitely don’t want to lose customers after a single purchase. So, this Magento 2 Guest to Customer extension allows you to retain customers after they place a guest order.



You just need to enable the automatic conversion, select what order status to convert guests to customers on, and specify the customer group to assign them to. That’s about it! From now on, all guest orders will be automatically converted to customers.





  




### Choose Specific Orders and Convert Them to Customers

When it comes to converting guests to customers, it doesn’t have to be all or nothing. This is why, you should have a chance to convert only specific orders.



Magefan Guest to Customer extension allows you to do just that. You can opt for the manual conversion and convert only specific orders by pressing a corresponding button. This button is available in the order grid, shipments, invoices, and credit memos.



So, you can convert guests to customers at any order processing stage.





  




### Assign Guest Orders to Existing Customer

Your existing customers may not always be logged in and place a guest order without realizing it. This is not an issue for the Magento 2 Guest to Customer Extension since it uses an email as an identifier.



If the order was placed using the existing customer’s email, the guest order will be assigned to it automatically. The extension creates new accounts for the unique email addresses only. At the same time, you can still assign guest orders to specific customers if needed.





  




### Let Customers Assign Guest Orders



To make this even more efficient, you can allow your customers to assign orders they placed as guests to their accounts. They don’t have to contact you and go the extra mile but click one button to have this settled.



If customers placed any guest orders, the extension will notify them about it in their accounts. Then, they can press one button to have all their orders neatly arranged in one account.





  




### Transfer Orders to Different Customer Accounts



The more flexible your customer service is, the better. Thus, you should also be able to transfer orders to different accounts if, for example, a customer used a wrong account or there’s a corporate account all orders have to be assigned to.



The Magento 2 Guest to Customer module allows you to change a customer assigned to an order. Just in a few clicks, you can move an order to a different customer without any extra hassle for the customer or you. That’s a win-win for sure!





  




### Convert Old Guest Orders to Customers



If having lots of guest orders doesn’t fit into your strategy, the Magento 2 Guest to Customer extension has a solution.



It allows you to convert all your old guest orders into customers. You can do it in the admin panel or run a CLI command. In any case, it’s a simple task that doesn’t require too much effort.





  




### Send New Account Email Notification



There is another point you shouldn’t miss. You have to keep your customers posted on all the operations and let them know a new account was created for them.



The Magento 2 Guest to Customer extension sends new customers a “Welcome Email” once they are converted. The email also includes a reset password link so your customers can go and set their account passwords.





  




### Comply with the GDPR Policies



Magento 2 Guest to Customer extension complies with the General Data Protection Regulation laws since it operates within the Magento database exclusively. 



The customer data is merely reorganized and not shared, disclosed, or unwillingly used for subscription purposes. Thus, the extension’s functionality is fully compatible with the GDPR policies.
