# Get Joke Extension
**Get Joke Extension** is a lightweight and easy-to-use browser extension that allows you to get jokes with just one click. Using the free [JokeAPI](https://v2.jokeapi.dev/joke), the extension delivers various jokes directly in the browser popup.
## 📌 Features
- Require permissions to work - storage (for saving options) and webRequest (only JokeAPI).
- Uses an API to fetch jokes in real-time.
- Supports different joke categories (depending on API availability).
- Easy and fast usage - one click on the extension icon to get a new joke.
- "New joke" button allows refreshing the joke without reloading the page.
## ⚙️ Settings
Get Joke Extension now has a settings page where you can select the type of jokes and language. Your preferences are saved across all devices where you use our extension.
**Supported languages of jokes:** Czech, German, English (default), Spanish, and French.
If desired, you can enable the unsafe mode to receive Dark jokes.
## 🛠 How to Use
1. **Install the extension** from [Chrome Web Store](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gaefccmkkolgdkabjfekngcmagioflne) or [AMO (Firefox)](https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/getjoke).
2. Click on the extension icon in the browser toolbar.
3. A joke will automatically appear in the popup.
4. Click "New joke" to get another joke.
