# Medidata DataConnect R library
## Overview
This library is built by Medidata to provide technical users of the Medidata Clinical Data Studio and of Medidata Data Connect – including clinical programmers, data scientists, and statisticians – a connection to relevant data within their own existing R IDE. You can use this library with base R functions and other libraries developed for R.
**Note:** This R library is only compatible with R Studio. We do not guarantee or provide support for other R IDEs.
