## Installation and Setup
### Prerequisites
Ensure that the following tools are installed on your machine:
- [Node.js](https://nodejs.org/en/) (for frontend)
- [Python](https://www.python.org/) (for backend)
### Backend Setup (Django)
1. **Clone the repository**:
```bash
git clone https://github.com/MeetkumarChavda/eLitmus.git
cd backend
```
2. **Set up a virtual environment**:
```bash
python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate # On Windows: venv\Scripts\activate
```
3. **Install dependencies**:
```bash
pip install -r requirements.txt
```
4. **Apply migrations**:
```bash
python manage.py makemigrations
python manage.py migrate
```
5. **Create a superuser (admin)**:
```bash
python manage.py createsuperuser
```
6. **Run the Django development server**:
```bash
python manage.py runserver
```
The backend API will be available at `http://127.0.0.1:8000/`.
### Frontend Setup (Next.js)
1. **Clone the frontend repository**:
```bash
git clone https://github.com/MeetkumarChavda/eLitmus.git
cd frontend
```
2. **Install dependencies**:
```bash
npm install
```
3. **Run the React.js development server**:
```bash
npm start
```
The frontend will be available at `http://localhost:3000/`.
