# Hack Aotearoa 2019: Exploring the eICU Collaborative Research Database

Materials for the eICU Collaborative Research Database tutorial at [Hack Aotearoa 2019](http://hackaotearoa.co.nz/).
## Introduction
The interactive workshop explores the [eICU Collaborative Research Database](https://eicu-crd.mit.edu/), a research database created from hundreds of unaffiliated hospitals across the USA. The database is now freely available to the public and is currently used for the development of advanced clinical decision support tools as well as epidemiology and other academic research projects.
