## 🎉 What is SongUp?

SongUp is an open-source, privacy-friendly music queue system. Hosts can control a central screen while everyone else contributes to the playlist simply by scanning a QR code. No logins, no hassle, just music.

  When creating a room, hosts can choose a fallback playlist that will play when no one has added a song to the queue, while

  songs that users add will always have priority over fallback songs.

### 1. Create a Room

Head over to [songup.tv](https://songup.tv) and click **Host your own room** to host your own SongUp room. It’s quick, easy, and free.

### 2. Share the Code

Share the unique room code with your friends or display the QR code on the host screen.

### 3. Queue Songs

Your guests can join the room and start adding their favorite tracks. Enjoy the party!
