# DVHacktoberfest

Learn about open source, while making a cool student directory! For advanced people, you need to register on https://hacktoberfest.com, and make a markdown file in the "people" folder. Then just make a pull request and you should be done!

If that didn't make sense, scroll down and check out the step-by-step guide!

## How to create your site

1. Go to https://hacktoberfest.com and click the "Start Hacking" Button



2. Sign in to GitHub and fill out the form as a "Contributer"

3. Come back to this repo website, and click the "people" folder



4. Click on "Add File" and "Create New File"



5. Edit up that file! Name it "yourname.md", and put whatever you want inside of it—maybe your insta, email, or phone #



6. Scroll down a bit and click "Propose File"



7. Lastly just click "Create Pull Request" once, and then get redirected to a page where you click the green "Create Pull Request" button again! 



8. And BAM, You're done! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Wait for @neelr to approve your request, but as soon as its done, you'll have 1/4 pull requests done for hacktoberfest and have your own page at https://dvhf.vercel.app
