Prerequisites:
Create a test cluster
```
kind create cluster --config kind.yaml
```

helm repo add k8s_gateway https://ori-edge.github.io/k8s_gateway/
helm repo add metallb https://metallb.github.io/metallb
helm repo add istio https://istio-release.storage.googleapis.com/charts
```
Install `metallb`:
```
helm install metallb metallb/metallb -f values.yaml
```
Install GatewayCRD (standard support for TCPRoute and HTTPRoute resources):
```
kubectl kustomize "github.com/kubernetes-sigs/gateway-api/config/crd?ref=v0.4.0" | kubectl apply -f -
```
Install `k8s_gateway`:
```
helm install exdns -f dns-values-http.yml k8s_gateway/k8s-gateway
```
Update internal CoreDNS to forward traffic to local plugin
```
k apply -f coredns-config.yaml
```
Install Istio (GatewayAPI controller):

kubectl create namespace istio-system
helm install istio-base istio/base -n istio-system
helm install istiod istio/istiod -n istio-system
kubectl create namespace istio-ingress
helm install istio-ingress istio/gateway -n istio-ingress
```
Create a registry
```
kubectl apply -f registry.yaml
