# CareAlly.
CareAlly is a project developed for the 2024 Google Solutions Challenge. It's a comprehensive solution that leverages the use of mobile technology
to bridge the knowledge gap between individuals and diseases (Neglected Tropical Dieases) and at the same time providing people with the opportunity to make an impact through supports such as
donations and volunteering opportunities. Our solution not only focuses on providing awareness and other means to provide support for individuals in need but also aims to provide a means for our users to know more about their health and take the necessary steps to have a healthy lifestyle, easly access medical centers through our map, health podcast and many more.
**NOTE: The CareAlly App is still in the works**
## Features of CareAlly
* Educational content:
- informational articles,
- videos
- interactive quizzes to engage users: implemented with GPT Quiz Generator for Google Forms
- Content tagging: each disease should be tagged for easy access by users
* Disease locator: maps showing the prevalence of different diseases in various regions and info on affected communities. implemented using google maps
* Donation platform
* Volunteer Opportunities: list of NGOs to volunteer with and also a user profile to track volunteer contributions and achievements
* Events and Campaigns: awareness campaigns, fundraiser and volunteer initiatives by NGOs
* Community forum where users can post: content filtering should be enabled
* Impact tracker: updates on the progress made in eradicating specific diseases
* Offline mode to accommodate users with limited connectivity
* User Profile: where users can track their contributions(donation and volunteer) and learning growth over time
* A health center map: showing the nearest health centers to the user. Implemented using Google Maps
* Multilingual support (Google translate): to accommodate users of different language backgrounds
