# Quabos
## Project Description
Quabos is an entertainment-focused Discord bot designed to promote activity in your Discord server. Using a Markov Chaining algorithm, Quabos will use messages previously sent to your server to generate new ones.
## Setup Instructions
### Installing Dependencies
To install the necessary dependencies, run the following command in the root directory of the project:
```bash
pnpm install
```### Configuring Environment Variables
Create a `.env` file in the `packages/bot` directory and add the following environment variables:
```
DISCORD_TOKEN="your_discord_bot_token"
DATABASE_URL="your_database_url"
NODE_ENV="production"
DEV_GUILD_ID=""
```Replace `your_discord_bot_token` with your actual Discord bot token and `your_database_url` with your MongoDB connection URL.
`NODE_ENV` must be either "production" or "development". If you wish to deploy the slash commands to a development guild, `DEV_GUILD_ID` must be properly set with the ID of that guild.
