## Introduction

Contest Countdown is an Gnome/Chrome extension that is meant to be actually useful to competitive coders. It shows a countdown to the next contest and lists all upcoming contests.

The gnome version is nearly complete, however since few people would be using gnome, we are also creating a [chrome extension](https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/). based on it. So don't be disheartened even if you don't use gnome! 

## Prerequisites

* Basic git

* Javascript Language

* Knowledge of Chrome API and/or gnome libraries

Take a look at [resources](resources.md) for learning resources, if you are not familiar with these.
