## Vision, Mission, Purpose
The OpenMined design team exists to pursue the following:

- Understand what different audience groups do not know about PETs and what they may need to know or do.
- To craft desirable, feasible, viable, and intuitive PET product experiences
- To ensure consistency of message, personality and quality of OpenMined Touchpoints
## Design Team
_Highly skilled graphic designers, interaction designers, user researchers, animators, illustrators, and other creatives, with a passion for lowering the barrier to understanding for PETs._

**Requirements to Join:**
- You possess a skill set that would add to our team's capacity or capabilities
- You have a portfolio that passes the team lead's screening
- You are proficient with core design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Framer, or Sketch )
- You are good at satisfying design requirements and facilitating changes in a timely manner
- You are a strong team player that is open to collaborating and learning the perspectives of others
- You have base level experience in project management and communication

## Design Community
You do not have to be a part of the OpenMined design team to take part in the OpenMined design community. While the "Design Team" is specifically a team to help complete design tasks that progress the OpenMined roadmap; the "Design Community" is a place where all OpenMined members with a passion for design can come together, generate ideas, troubleshoot issues, get feedback on projects, and have healthy discussions.

To submit a design request to the design team please do the following:
- Create a new [**Issue**](https://github.com/OpenMined/design/issues) in this repository
- Select the template that best describes your issue
- Fill out and submit the issue
