# Percona Backup for MongoDB documentation
Welcome to Percona Backup for MongoDB documentation!
## Overview
Percona Backup for MongoDB (PBM) is a distributed, low-impact solution for achieving
consistent backups of MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets. Percona Backup for MongoDB supports Percona Server for MongoDB and MongoDB Community Edition v4.4 and higher.

This repository contains the source files for [Percona Backup for MongoDB documentation](https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-backup-mongodb). The documentation is written in [Markdown markup language](https://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/) and is created using [MkDocs Documentation Generator](https://www.mkdocs.org/).
