# U.S. Web Design System Components for Webflow

## About this project
This UI kit is a collection of components and design tokens built in [Webflow](https://webflow.com/) based on the [U.S. Web Design System](https://designsystem.digital.gov/) (USWDS). The purpose is to enable rapid prototyping for content and interactions using the default USWDS components we know and love. This is work in progress and [feedback is welcome](https://github.com/pglevy/uswds-components-for-webflow/issues). Not an official U.S. government project.

## Setup
1. Create a Webflow account.
2. Go the project page in the [Webflow Showcase](https://webflow.com/website/US-Web-Design-System-Components?s=uswds-components).
3. Press the Clone button.

You should then have a copy of the project in your account you can edit.

> Note: The files in this repository are for archiving the code export from Webflow only. The are not intended to be used directly.

## Use
- Option 1: Copy and paste elements from the main page to your pages.
- Option 2: Add elements using the Webflow menu and add the relevant classes (e.g., add _usa-prose-h1-wf_ to an Heading 1 element).

For official documentation on the design tokens and utility classes, see the [U.S. Web Design System site](https://designsystem.digital.gov/).

## Feedback
If you run into a problem or have feedback, you can [create an issue in this Github repository](https://github.com/pglevy/uswds-components-for-webflow/issues).
