# IonicApps
Hybrid Mobile Applications.
Hey there,
This repository contains some of the hybrid mobile applications based on **Ionic Framework**. Here I've also used AngularJS to implement the main programming logic for the applications.
### What is Ionic Framework ?
Ionic is the beautiful, free and open source mobile SDK for developing native and progressive web apps with ease.

### Contents
* **Eightball app** - This is a simple application which displays a random text after the user clicks on the screen. It also displays the message with an animation.
* **soundboard app** - This is a simple application which displays a list containing various sounds. After tapping on the list item the corresponding music starts playing. User can also delete sound from the list and also can reorder the list. I've used some animations which the Ionic framework provides.
* **tedclone** - This application is your basic rss feed application. It shows articles from 'TED'. Users can tap on the article to view it properly. On that page user will can also load the article on their choice of browser, they can share the article on social media platforms. The application also a pull down to refresh feature.
* **NewsFeeder** - This application uses reddit api to view news. It collects the data in json format and shows it to the user on the screen. The application also has 'pull down to refresh' functionality and infinite scroll to view older news. Also, the application has **cordova-plugin-inappbrowser** for mobile devices.
* **Notes** - This application stores notes for the user. It uses HTML5's LocalStorage api to store data. Notes can added, edited and deleted based on user's request. Also, the notes can be re-ordered. I've used Ionicons wherever needed.
* **Stocks** - (WIP) having some issues with NVD3. Otherwise the app's core functionality is ready.
* **GeoWeather** - This is a mobile weather application to display weather related information like temp, wind speed, humidity, visibility, dewpoint, etc. to the user. I've used **Weather Underground API** to fetch the data. Apart from a clean UI inspired from **Material Design**, this application has several neat animations to make the UI more pleasant. The user can select a default city for him/her from the settings tab. The default city is stored in the device storage. User can view weather information of any city from the Weather tab. The app also has **AutoComplete** Search feature to enable easy searching. Also, the app follows a day/night mood setting i.e. it changes its colour based on the time of the day. Using **Geo Location** plugin from Cordova, the app can show the city on the map and using device GPS user can use the app as regular Map app.

### To test these applications
1. First install Ionic using node.js utility
``` $ sudo npm install -g ionic cordova ```
2. To copy files
```$ ionic start https://github.com/pranavj1001/IonicApps/```
```eg. $ ionic start Eightball https://github.com/pranavj1001/IonicApps/Eightball```
3. To test applications on browser
```cd ```
```ionic serve```
4. To test applications as a native app on your mobile phones
```ionic platform add android```
```ionic build android```
```ionic emulate android```
In order to run applications on iOS devices then simply replace 'android' with 'ios'.
If you want to run on your actual device then
**For Android**
```ionic run android```
Make sure you enable the Debugging mode on your device.
**For iOS**
You’ll need to sign up for an Apple Developer account to test as a native app on an iPhone or iPad. Unfortunately, this costs $99 per year. :(
