Installation
Clone the repository:
bash
git clone https://github.com/ramo-dev/flask-blog.git
Change into the project directory:
bash
cd your-blog-app
Create a virtual environment and activate it:
bash
python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate # On Windows, use: venv\Scripts\activate
Install the required packages:
bash
pip install -r requirements.txt
Create a .env file with your configuration settings:
env
FLASK_APP=run.py
FLASK_ENV=development # or production for a production environment
SECRET_KEY=your_secret_key
SQLALCHEMY_DATABASE_URI=your_database_uri
Initialize the database:
bash
flask db init
flask db migrate -m "Initial migration"
flask db upgrade
Start the application:
bash
flask run
Open a web browser and go to http://localhost:5000.
Usage
Visit the homepage to view and create blog posts.
Sign up or log in to manage your profile and create posts.
Customize your user profile by uploading an avatar.
