# Text 2 Image with Stable Diffusion
Stable Diffusion examples
- **Stable diffusion** is a model proposed by CompVis, Stability.ai and LAION. It is the first completely open source image generation project for **text 2 image.**
- The model was trained on the LAION-5B dataset, which contains almost **5 billion image/text pairs**, available in several languages.
- The training took **150,000 hours**, and was performed using **256 Nvidia A100 GPUs**. The total cost of the training is **600,000$** according to Wikipedia.
