# Florida Non-Owner Affidavit
This site is designed for anyone who no longer owns a vehicle but that vehicle is still registered with the state of Florida. The real issue comes when you cancel your auto insurance on that vehicle. Due to a lack of insurance, the state of Florida will suspend your Driver's License. You can check your Driver's License's status at [this page.](https://services.flhsmv.gov/DLCheck/)
If you are unable to resolve this issue by turning in the license plate or registration to the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles(FL HSMV), then you can create a Non-Owner Affidavit and
1. Print it
2. Sign it
3. Fax it to FL HSMV at 850-617-3985.
