# StudentMate

### Online web portal developed as the 2nd year Group Project for University of Colombo students giving answers to the problems they face as soon as they started their University lives.

StudentMate is an ideal place to fulfill the requirements of university students after they start  university livfe. It's a different life. So they have to get used to it. Through this project the requirements of hte students that can be covered are;

1. Find Bus Routes around Colombo.

2. Get Train schedules according to the time and date.

3. Find places and details that they need during day-to-day life with university. Ex : ATM, Pharmacy, Restaurent (around UOC area).

4. Register in faculty clubs.

5. View faculty news.

6. Find and get details available accommodation.

7. Find and get details of scholarships published by UOC.

8. Add places to the map that they know and which will be valuable for students.(added to the map after a verification)

9. Add accmmodation places to the system that are available for students.(added to the system after a verification)

10. Maintain a user account.

Main System admin can perform following actions.

1. Accept or reject place requests(places added by students).

2. Accept or reject accommodation requests(accommodation places added by students).

3. Publish accommodation.

4. Publish scholarships.

Each Faculty Admin can perform these actions.

1. Verify the users and provide them the login ability.

2. Add club registraion posts for faculty.

3. Add a club to the faculty.

4. Publish faculty news.

5. View details of the registered users in the faculty.
