# Solar-System
# Project Title
The Solar System is the gravitationally bound system of the Sun and the objects that orbit it. The largest of these objects are the eight planets, which in order from the Sun are four terrestrial planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars); two gas giants (Jupiter and Saturn); and two ice giants (Uranus and Neptune). The Solar System developed 4.6 billion years ago when a dense region of a molecular cloud collapsed, forming the Sun and a protoplanetary disc.

# Solar System Overview
The solar system is a vast system consisting of the Sun, eight planets, their moons, dwarf planets, asteroids, comets, and other celestial bodies. Here's some basic information about the major components of the solar system:
## The Sun
The Sun is the star at the center of the solar system. It is a nearly perfect sphere of hot plasma, with internal convective motion that generates a magnetic field via a dynamo process. It provides the energy that sustains life on Earth.
## Planets
- **Mercury**: The closest planet to the Sun, Mercury is small and rocky, with a heavily cratered surface.
- **Venus**: Similar in size and composition to Earth, Venus has a thick atmosphere that traps heat, making it the hottest planet in the solar system.
- **Earth**: The third planet from the Sun, Earth is the only known planet to support life. It has a diverse environment with oceans, continents, and an atmosphere conducive to life.
- **Mars**: Often called the "Red Planet" due to its reddish appearance, Mars has a thin atmosphere and surface features reminiscent of both Earth's moon and the volcanoes, valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps.
- **Jupiter**: The largest planet in the solar system, Jupiter is a gas giant with a thick atmosphere and a strong magnetic field. It has a system of rings and numerous moons.
- **Saturn**: Known for its distinctive ring system, Saturn is another gas giant. Its rings are made up of ice particles, and it also has numerous moons.
- **Uranus**: Uranus is an ice giant with a tilted axis of rotation, causing it to rotate on its side. It has a faint ring system and a diverse set of moons.
- **Neptune**: The farthest planet from the Sun, Neptune is another ice giant. It has a dynamic atmosphere with fast winds and a system of rings and moons.## Dwarf Planets
These are celestial bodies that orbit the Sun and have sufficient mass for their self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that they assume a nearly round shape, but they have not cleared their neighboring region of other debris. Pluto is the most famous dwarf planet.
## Moons
Many moons orbit the planets in the solar system. Some of the notable ones include Earth's moon, Jupiter's Europa and Ganymede, Saturn's Titan, and Neptune's Triton.
## Asteroids and Comets
Asteroids are rocky bodies that orbit the Sun, mostly found in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Comets are icy bodies that also orbit the Sun, with some originating from the Kuiper Belt and the Oort Cloud.
This is just a brief overview, and there's much more detail to explore about each of these components of the solar system.
