# Lightning Race Place
[Place](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Place_(Reddit)) powered by lightning payments.
Users can "purchase" pixels on an 8x8 grid - each pixel requires a separate 1 satoshi payment to the server over the bitcoin testnet lightning network. Once payment is received, the purchased pixel will change color within seconds on all browsers with the grid open.
# L2 Summit Hackathon
This project was a submission for the [2018 L2 Summit Hackathon](https://innovation.mit.edu/event/l2-summit/) at MIT in Cambridge, MA. It was a collaboration between 5 people over 8 hours.
