# face_mask_detector

The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that there are two ways in which the spread of COVID 19 virus takes place that are respiratory droplets and physical contact. 

So, avoiding the spread of this virus need some precautionary steps to be taken that are social distancing and the wearing of masks. 

Among these two precautions the mask wearing is considered as the important factor for the spread of COVID 19 virus because these droplets can land on any surface. 

So, to keep track of the people that are wearing mask or not is more important. Here I have presented a face mask detector that is able to detect any type of mask.

This project does face mask detection using Computer Vision. As now a days mask is a powerful way to prevent us from SARS-CoV2. So everyone should wear mask all time. To check this I made a venture.

I trained the model in 2 chunks, one with mask and second without mask.

With Mask - Training Set has 658 images

Without Mask - Training Set has 656 images

With Mask - Testing Set has 97 images

Without Mask - Training Set has 97 images

Association : keras, numpy, cv2, datetime.

After deployment you can use this at entry gate to check if your staff is wearing mask or not.
