# Nostalgii

## What is Nostalgii?

Nostalgii is a media collection manager, viewer, and browser that is optimized for making nostalgic media collections for when you want to go down memory lane. It is wrtiten in Elm and CSS.

## Nostalgii browser

Nostalgii browser is a very basic, controlled web browser that can search for common nostalgic entries in Nostalgii format that can be added to your collection.**It is not a full-fledged web browser**

## Nostalgii format

The Nostalgii format is still being designed. Its goals include:

- 1. Portability (an open format that can be read by other programs of the same class)

- 2. Efficiency (uses little CPU and RAM)

- 3. Ease of use (easy to use)

- 4. Optimized for the experience (optimized for nostalgia trips)

- 5. Privacy friendly (no phoning home, no telemetry, no tracking, no data collection, no privacy violations)
