Simplicité® monitoring
=================================

Introduction
------------

This is a simple monitoring app for the [Simplicité® platform](http://www.simplicitesoftware.com)
using the [Simplicité® API for node.js®](https://www.npmjs.com/package/simplicite).

**This is still a __BETA__ stage app, do not use in production**

Prerequisites
-------------

Create a `monitoring` MySQL database by default with username and password set to `monitoring` (to match defaults in `app.js`):

```sql
create database monitoring;
grant all privileges on monitoring.* to monitoring@localhost identified by 'monitoring';
flush privileges;
```

Then create the following tables:

```sql
create table monitoring_app (
name varchar(100) not null,
url varchar(255) not null,
active char(1) default '1'
);
create table monitoring_data (
name varchar(100) not null,
ts timestamp default current_timestamp,
activesessions int(11) default 0,
totalusers int(11) default 0,
enabledusers int(11) default 0,
heapfree int(11) default 0,
heapsize int(11) default 0,
heapmaxsize int(11) default 0,
totalfreesize int(11) default 0,
grantcache int(11) default 0,
grantcachemax int(11) default 0,
objectcache int(11) default 0,
objectcachemax int(11) default 0,
processcache int(11) default 0,
processcachemax int(11) default 0,
diskfree int(11) default 0,
diskusable int(11) default 0,
disktotal int(11) default 0
);
```

Usage
-----

To run it you need to install (or upgrade) the required packages and their dependencies:

npm install simplicite express jade mysql

Then you can run the application by:

node app.js [ []]

The base URL to point to is then: `http://:`
