# GAMERN
Full stack implementation of GAMERN (GraphiQL Apollo MongoDB ExpressJS ReactJS NodeJS)

### Download git repo
`git clone [email protected]:Smi0001/GAMERN.git`

### Run both client & server instantly
`npm run start` OR `yarn start`

### Run UI server
Using npm
```
cd client
npm install
npm start
```
Using yarn
```
cd client
yarn
yarn start
```

Dev. can access [Homepage](http:localhost:3000/) at port 3000.

### Run API server
Using npm
```
cd server
npm install
npm start
```

Using yarn
```
cd server
yarn
yarn start
```

### If using nodemon in dev env for API:
```
nodemon app.js
```

Dev. can access [GraphiQL UI](http:localhost:4000/graphql) for DB handling at port 4000.

For backend development we can execute `nodemon app` that watches for modifications in backend code and restarts server.

### Create heroku app
heroku create shammi-meme

### Deploy on heroku
1. Create build of client module `npm run build --prefix ./client`
2. Empty server/public directoru and copy the build directory contents into server/public `rm -rf ./server/public/* && cp -r ./client/build/* ./server/public`
3. Goto server directory, commit and push changes to heroku `cd ./server && git add . && git commit -m "" && git push heroku master`

Final command from root directory: `npm run heroku`

### Watch heroku logs
`heroku logs --tail --app=shammi-meme`

### Note
To search images, internet is required
