# Grandjean French system

French stenography ("Grandjean system") for [Plover](https://github.com/openstenoproject/plover).

This plugin is the successor of what [Aziz Yemloul](https://github.com/azizyemloul/plover-france) made years ago and allows French stenotypists to use the latest version of Plover. The signs used to represent the keys are those of the most common proprietary transcription software in France for greater comfort when importing dictionaries.

## Installation

This plugin has not been released on PyPI yet, so locally installing from source is currently the only option.

## Work in progress

The dictionaries are currently empty. I am working on a lexicon that would form a basic core of French words.

## Side note

I have also made a [French version of the keyboard layout](https://github.com/stenomax/plover_grandjean_layout) that can be use with [Plover's Layout display plugin](https://github.com/morinted/plover_layout_display).

## Appel à contribution

Il s'agit d'un plugin de fortune (vous pouvez le considérer comme une version pré-alpha) dont le seul mérite est d'exister et de fonctionner relativement correctement de manière générale. N'étant pas développeur, c'est déjà pour moi un miracle que ça marche mais cela implique que je ne serai pas en mesure d'apporter les correctifs attendus en cas de souci. J'en suis vraiment désolé.

Par conséquent, si vous rencontrez une erreur et que vous êtes capable de la corriger, n'hésitez surtout pas à me soumettre le bout de code corrigé afin que le plugin puisse évoluer vers ce qu'il devrait être dans les meilleures conditions.
