# Policy of the Week
**StrongDM Zero Trust Sample Policies**[StrongDM](https://strongdm.com/)'s Zero Trust Policies allow administrators to enforce fine-grained access control for users in their organization. Policies are enforced in real-time and can be used to further restrict access with granular precision and contextual attributes, as well as trigger additional authorization requirements such as MFA prompts, approval workflows, require a logged justification reason, fail with an error message, log-out the user, send a notification pop-up.
Benefits of StrongDM Zero Trust Policies for organizatrions:
* Modernize and simplify access management
* Achieve continuous compliance
* Reduce the risk of unauthorized access to critical systemsZero Trust Policies are based on the open-source [Cedar](https://www.cedarpolicy.com/) authorization language, which evaluates authorization statements in real-time, in a language that is easy to read and write.
For more information, consult the [StrongDM Policies documentation](https://www.strongdm.com/docs/admin/policies/).
