# Element for Franz
This is a Franz recipe/plugin for Element, which was formerly known as Riot and Vector and is a web client for [matrix].
## Installation
1. Open the Franz Plugins (`dev`elopment) folder on your machine, if the directory does not exist, create it:
* Mac: `~/Library/Application Support/Franz/recipes/dev/`
* `mkdir ~/Library/Application Support/Franz/recipes/dev/`
* Linux: `~/.config/Franz/recipes/dev/`
* `mkdir ~/.config/Franz/recipes/dev/`
* Windows: `%appdata%/Franz/recipes/dev/`
* ...
2. Download or clone this repo into the `dev` directory – as sub-directory `recipe-element` (e.g.).
3. Reload Franz.
4. Open `Settings` tab and enable Riot in the `development` tab of `Available services`.
