# GitHub Workshop
Thank you, everyone, for attending today's workshop on Git and Markdown Essentials! π Congratulations to all of you; now you are more familiar with Git, GitHub, and Markdown compared to your other branch peers! π
We hope you gained valuable insights from this workshop. Most of you were able to commit to your repositories and create a pull request. Even if you were not able to do it, it's fine! (lol! At least you know what Git is! I really hope you know what Git/GitHub is by now... uhh, if you don't, just Google it lol) π
There are a lot more things that we would have loved to cover in this workshop but we couldn't! So here's an overview of them:
- **Check out our GitHub organization** - [TASC - NMAMIT](https://github.com/tasc-nmamit)
- Star β and follow the TASC GitHub organization
- Check out the [tasc-website repository](https://github.com/tasc-nmamit/tasc-website) and the website too: [TASC Website](https://www.tascnmamit.in/)
- If you are interested in becoming an official member of this GitHub repository and contribute either towards coding or non-coding stuff, inform Prathwik or Kausthubh. We will send you an invite! π
- **Complete your GitHub profiles**
(Don't know what this is? Here take a look: [GitHub Readme instructions](https://docs.github.com/en/account-and-profile/setting-up-and-managing-your-github-profile/customizing-your-profile/managing-your-profile-readme))

## [Hacktoberfest 2023](https://hacktoberfest.com/) (ππ»Click This)
- **What is Hacktoberfest?**
- Hacktoberfest is an annual month-long event that celebrates open source software and encourages contributions to open-source projects. It's open to everyone, regardless of their experience level. During Hacktoberfest, participants make contributions to open-source projects by submitting Pull Requests (PRs) to eligible repositories on platforms like GitHub. π
- **Benefits**
- Participants in Hacktoberfest have the opportunity to earn cool rewards and awards. While the specific rewards may vary each year, they typically include limited-edition swag, such as T-shirts and stickers, as well as the satisfaction of contributing to the open-source community.π
- **Checking Out [Hack.md](Hack.md)**
- To get an idea of the types of files you can create or modify for your Pull Request, check out the [Hack.md](Hack.md.md) file in the repository. This file can serve as a guide for the content and format of your contributions.π
