# Ad Songs

### A detailed document which explains the songs in the playlist and the respective advertisements they were heard in.



Note: This document only lists advertisements I have personally come across and it will be subject to change. Some of the information here may be lacking.

#### 1. "Busy Earnin'" by Jungle.

Heard in Budweiser's "Be a King" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZuY_cV-x8Q) which aired on TV around 2016 or 2017. The song in the advertisement is sped up.



#### 2. "Leave a Light On" by Tom Walker.

A [different version](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLpf3Ts2HeI) of this song was heard in the 2018 Sony Bravia OLED TV "Window into Daytime" [commercial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYMGZuufCLg). The advertisement continued to air through 2018 and early 2019.


Tom Walker had also posted a BTS [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8sRSWZKIwQ) about how the song was conceptualized and made for the advertisement.



#### 3. "Makeba" by Jain.

Heard in a Zomato advertisement which aired around 2021 during cricket match intervals.



#### 4. "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors.

Heard in Google Pixel's "Photos in low light" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBNyyIKMhi8) which aired in 2017. The advertisement was most likely exclusive to Indian television only.



#### 5. "Yea Yea Yea" by Skrxlla.

Heard in one of the advertisements which aired during cricket match intervals in 2020. Can't say if it was Swiggy or Zomato.



#### 6. "You Rascal You" by Hanni El Khatib.

Heard in Levi's Men's 501 CT "Beautiful Morning" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JwNYPgBhfM) which aired around 2014 or 2015.



#### 7. "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" by Eurythmics.

A [remixed cover](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0p-vkK4ICg) of this song was heard in Samsung Galaxy Note 3 + Gear's [commercial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVXD0ZogLR8). The mentioned remixed cover has been sped up here.



#### 8. "Stand by Me" by Skylar Grey.

Heard in the Nescafe GOLD "For The Moments That Matter" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04olB9MPGyk) which aired in 2018 and 2019. This song is a cover of the original Ben E. King [song](https://open.spotify.com/track/3SdTKo2uVsxFblQjpScoHy?si=2b7d8d6f1fe5409d).



#### 9. "Taste the Feeling (Avicii vs. Conrad Sewell)" by Avicii and featuring Conrad Sewell.

This song was released in promotion of Coca-Cola's "Taste the Feeling" advertisement campaign. What's supposed to be the original version used for the campaign can be found [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xa6mLZf5HVw).



#### 10. "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.

A [cover](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CA1FFTAOEpI) for this song was used for the DHL Express worldwide [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAPXK-i2xgE) which aired in 2011.



#### 11. "Kiss Me Baby" by Adnan Sami.

The song was heard in a mobile phone advertisement which prominently featured it's in-built music player. The mentioned advertisement aired in the late 2000s.



#### 12. "Unstoppable" by Sia.

Heard in the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra "The Epic Standard" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBlZiECq8ZA) which aired in 2022.



#### 13. "Slave to The Rhythm" by Michael Jackson.

Heard in the Sony Xperia Z2's "Details Make The Difference" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuhWv7_Fef4) which aired in 2014. A different advertisement featuring it's music player was aired in India (this one is sketchy).



#### 14. "Happy" by Pharrell Williams.

Heard in a Fiat "Because I'm Happy" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZvb9Kde03A) which aired in 2014, featuring the Punto and the Linea.



#### 15. "Keep Walking Anthem" by John Legend and Raja Kumari

Was heard in Johnnie Walker's "Keep On Walking" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOmwv45cls8) campaign in the summer of 2023.



#### 16. "Hyalite" by EAUXMAR.

Heard in one of the Apple iPhone advertisements which aired in 2020 or 2021.



#### 17. "Sweet Touch of Love" by Allen Toussaint.

Heard in the 2008 AXE Chocolate "Chocolate Man" [commercial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4G3_jovoTc).



#### 18. "I Love Rock 'N Roll" by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.

Heard in Jockey's "USA Originals" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjbWuWFmeXs) which either aired in 2015 or 2017 (sometime after the 4th of July campaign which took place in 2014).



#### 19. "It's Like Love" by Dewayne Everttsmith.

Heard in the Australia Tourism [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUF7ja9ehIs) which was posted in 2013 on YouTube. The said advertisement might have aired earlier.



#### 20. ""It's My Life" by Dr. Alban.

Featured in the first Sting Energy Drink [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ1ktpuwMRY) campaign in 2017.



#### 21. "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5 and featuring Christina Aguilera.

A beatbox version of this song performed by Shlomo and his musical project "Shlomo and The Lip Factory" was heard in the Sony Vaio Sonic "Sound Up" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsIGwau1sJ8) which aired around 2012 or 2013. This advertisement was [billed](https://www.campaignindia.in/video/sony-gets-shlomo-and-the-lip-factory-to-launch-sonic-range-of-laptops/419045) to be India's first beatboxing competition where participants had to post videos of them beatboxing in order to win laptops from the Sonic series.



#### 22. Aline (Italian version) by Christophe.

Originally sung in French, this one appears in Only Diamonds' "Celebrate Moments of Love" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6HYfbzqYok) starring Ana de Armas which aired in 2021.



#### 23. "It's Your Thing" by The Isley Brothers.

This song was covered by an unknown person / group in Heineken's "Now You Can" advertisement campaign which aired around 2018.



The campaign featured a series of silent advertisements where the consumer of the said beer tapped on the "0% alcohol content" label of the bottle, only to be later pointed at a mistake they had made without knowing it as a twist.



The advertisements had presented the following skits: ["Parking"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNZCe3I_X7o), ["Backstage"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPaGfE851hw), ["Presentation"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRgqiPO1uuE), ["Locker Room"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdA7SZH1T94), ["Photobomb"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FULTlBuk6w) and ["Gas Station"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_tRENCSQtU).

(The official Heineken YouTube channel has age-restricted the videos for some reason.)



#### 24. "Diamonds and Guns" by Transplants.

Heard in the Garnier Fructis commercials in the 2000s. The original commercials aired in the early 2000s while the Indian commercials aired in the late 2000s. Some of the Indian commercials starred Diva Dhawan, Diana Penty and Jyothsna (the third name needs to be verified).

#### 25. "Just a Little Crush" (ft. Shalmali Kholgade) by Mikey McCleary.

Heard in Lakme's Fruit Blast [commercial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=My7YSbZio5g) which aired in 2010, featuring Lisa Haydon.



#### 26. "The Little Things You Do" (ft. Anushka Manchanda) by Mikey McCleary.

This song was featured in Vodafone's Delights [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtDYZHGzGLE) campaign featuring two school-going girls who are close to each other. The three skits (labelled "Classroom", "Cycle" and "Annual Day") have been color-graded to highlight anything red out of the desaturated world.



#### 27. "Oh I Feel Wonderful" by Mike McCleary.

Heard in another set of [advertisements](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2KrM4-u7g4) related to Vodafone Delights, this time featuring a young boy interacting with an old man.

#### 28. "Welcome Home" by Radical Face.

Heard in Nikon's "I Am" [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnNQoggSl0U) campaign featuring Robbie Williams that had started as early as 2009 / 2010. The Indian version featuring Mithila Palkar can be found [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-ixlE85eQY).



#### 29. "Gangster Of Love" by Johnny "Guitar" Watson.

Heard in the Axe Click advertisement. The [original](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbBi7J_rslk) starring Ben Affleck and Scoot McNairy aired in 2009, while the Indian [version](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuXAlOWxpJ0) starring Ranbir Kapoor aired in 2013. The skits in both ads feature the same gist, albiet taking place during slightly different scenarios.



#### 30. "Missione A Bombay" by Nicola Conte.

Heard in another Garnier Fructis [advertisement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoV_xfvTViA) which aired in 2011. The gist of this advertisement might have been inspired by Garnier's ["Long and Strong"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDdXZYJYqgQ) advertisement which aired in 2006 and it also makes use of Transplants' "Diamonds and Guns" as their background score like most Fructis ads.
